Step back in time and explore the fascinating evolution of beekeeping over the past two centuries. This interactive tour blends history, agriculture, and hands-on learning as we trace how honeybees helped shape Galena’s past — and continue to impact our future. This immersive experience includes: A historical talk on 19th-century beekeeping & honey production A guided honey tasting featuring historically inspired flavors A modern-day beekeeping tour with the chance to peer inside the hive (bee suits, hoods, and gloves provided) The opportunity to purchase a special glass Muth jar with cork stopper — inspired by 1800s honey storage — filled with our exclusive “Galena Gold” honey 📅 When: Weekly Fridays at 3:00 pm (mid-May–Labor Day 2026) 📍 Where: 489 S Clark Lane, Elizabeth, IL 🎟 Tickets: $55 adults | $39 children (ages 6+) 🐝 Advance registration required Join us for an unforgettable journey where history meets honey.
Cancellation Policy
Prior to Booking your Reservation, please review our FAQ and complete a Hold Harmless Agreement found on the FAQ page. This must be reviewed and completed before booking. Changes/Cancellations: - Email changes to drycreektoursandtastings@gmail.com up to 24 hours before tour time with booking parties' names. - Cancellation refunds: More than 72 hours = 100%, 24-72 hours = 50%, less than 24 hours = no refund. Refunds will go back on payment provided with a small fee applied by the bank that is a pass-through cost.
