Beekeeping Mentoring & Consultation Services Whether you're just getting started with beekeeping or have years of experience, every beekeeper encounters questions along the way. Dry Creek Beekeeping offers one-on-one mentoring to help you better understand your bees, improve hive health, and build confidence in your beekeeping skills. Mentoring is personalized to your needs and can cover a wide range of topics, including: Hive inspections and what to look for Identifying and treating common pests and diseases Understanding bee behavior and what your colony is telling you Seasonal hive management and maintenance Preparing colonies for winter and improving overwintering success Feeding bees during nectar dearths Swarm prevention and colony management Queen and brood assessments General beekeeping questions and troubleshooting Whether you need guidance through your first hive inspection or want an experienced beekeeper to help diagnose a problem, we're here to help. Consultation Options On-site mentoring: Available throughout Jo Daviess County, Illinois, and Dubuque County, Iowa Virtual or phone consultations: Available anywhere Rate: $50 per hour, which includes travel time to and from your location for on-site visits. Our goal is to help you become a more confident, knowledgeable beekeeper while supporting the long-term health and success of your colonies.
