Honey Tasting Experience

Service Description

Join us as we explore the fascinating world of honey! At our honey tasting, you will learn about how bees make honey, and will taste a variety of honeys ranging from light to medium to dark color profiles. You will use a honey flavor wheel and color chart to explore the wide variety of aromas, colors and flavors of honeys, as you try to put words to what you smell, see, and taste. Each attendee will track their impressions of each honey and we will compare and discuss these. Plus, you will sample a variety of textures, including creamed, crystalized, and honey direct from the comb. Learning an appreciation for honey is a great experience, and often grows into a new obsession of purchasing different honey varieties in each area where you travel! Reservations must be made at least 24 hours prior to the event and there is a minimum class size of 6 people for the class to be held. *Honey tasting kits will be available for sale to take home to replicate this experience with your friends and family.

Cancellation Policy

Important Information: • Locations vary- please see your event listing to verify address of your booked honey tasting. * Register online 24 hours in advance of the event session date / time. To book on the day of the event, if the event link doesn't work, please call 815-297-3366 to register. • ARRIVAL: Check-in onsite BEFORE tour time, 5-15 minutes early. • This event is fun for all ages! If mead is served at the event, this is included for only those age 21 +. * No children under 1 year old should ingest honey, per the American Academy of Pediatrics. • Photos allowed to be taken- feel free to tag us @drycreekbeekeeping Changes/Cancellations: • Email changes to drycreektoursandtastings@gmail.com up to 24 hours before tour time with booking parties' names. • Cancellation refunds: More than 72 hours = 100%, 24-72 hours = 50%, less than 24 hours = no refund. Refunds will go back on payment provided with a small fee applied by the bank that is a pass-through cost. • Private group cancellations require notice 4 days before for a full refund. • Full refunds provided if a tasting is canceled by Dry Creek Beekeeping. Cancellation notifications will be delivered via email.
