Yes, You Can Be This Fancy: Artisanal Honey & Cheese Pairings
Dates: Nov. 27, 2026, Jan. 16, 2027, Feb. 13, March 26
Service Description
Cheese boards are everywhere—but most people don’t know how to make them truly unforgettable. In this immersive tasting workshop with Dry Creek Beekeeping, you’ll learn how to pair artisanal honey and handcrafted cheeses the way chefs, cheese mongers, and food artisans do—by understanding flavor, texture, and origin rather than following trends. We’ll explore how artisanal foods differ from mass-produced products, prioritizing human touch, simple ingredients, and sustainable practices that result in deeper, more complex flavors. You’ll taste how raw, thoughtfully produced honey can transform a cheese, elevating even simple boards into intentional, memorable experiences. Through guided tastings and hands-on instruction, you’ll learn: How different honey varieties interact with soft, hard, aged, and fresh cheeses Why small-batch production and terroir matter in both honey and cheese How to balance sweet, salty, creamy, and savory elements with confidence How to build a cheese board that tells a story—of place, producer, and craft By the end of the class, you won’t just know what pairs well—you’ll understand why. You’ll leave with practical skills to create elevated cheese boards at home, a deeper appreciation for artisanal foods, and a stronger connection to the producers behind them. Each attendee will receive a variety of artisanal cheeses and honeys to experiment with flavors to curate truly unique and thoughtful pairings for your next cheese board. (This is not a charcuterie class, rather it is a tasting and pairing workshop). Perfect for curious food lovers, entertainers, and anyone who wants to eat with intention—and taste the difference.
